ColourPop Haul & Swatches #2

With May being my birthday month I decided to treat myself to a few new bits of makeup. I haven’t bought any new makeup for quite a while so I was very excited about this order. Colourpop had free international shipping over $50 so I i made sure my order reach that target ($50.40 was my total cost). Not only was the free shipping an incentive, they also had 20% off site wide and 3 liquid lips for $12 instead of $18 (which is essentially a 3 for the price of 2 offer). Basically it was the perfect time for me to make my second ever Colourpop order. Anyway I’ll stop with the rambling and get into the haul.

After trying Mr bing eyeliner from colourpop in my last order, I was keen to try another eyeliner as the formula was so good, I chose the colour Fast Lane which is a gorgeous deep forest green.

Next up is a Super Shock Highlighter in the shade Flexitarian. Oh my goodness this highlighter is stunning. You need barely any product on the brush or sponge to have a beaming highlight.

Now time for the lip products, i will start with lip liners or as Colourpop call then ‘Iippie pencils’ and lippie stix. I got the shade Tootsi as I love the lippie stix in the same shade and I though it would be great to have the matching liner. The second liner is part of the ‘Oh Snap’ set which comes with both a lippie stix and lippie pencil both in the shade oh snap. Their lippie stix and pencils are very creamy, they glide on the lips and are very comfortable to wear. The last lippie stix I purchased was the shade Aquarius. As you will soon see, I got quite a few lip products in that shade as it is a gorgeous nude/pink/beige colour.

The two single lip glosses I ordered were ‘Fairy Floss’ which is a pretty light nude colour which will work well over pretty much any lipstick. The other gloss is ‘Honey B’ which is a fun bright pink. This gloss is very pigmented and can easily be worn alone.  I am really impressed with 2 types of gloss formula that I have tried from colourpop (sheer& creme). I also bought a single Ultra Matte Lip in the shade Midi. I tried to get this when I made my first order months ago but it was out of stock so I finally managed to get my hands on it this time around. I’m pretty sure colourpop have improved their UML formula as they now seem less drying and slightly thicker consistency which makes it easier to apply.

The last but definitely not less thing that I ordered was the KathleenLights x Colourpop Aquarius Trio. This set comes with an Ultra Matte Lip in the Shade Aquarius 2, an Ultra Satin Lip in the shade Aquarius and an Ultra Glossy Lip in the shade Aquarius. Oh my goodness the Ultra Glossy Lip in the shade Aquarius is potentially, if not definitely, my new top favourite lip product. It is stunning, the colour is gorgeous, the formula is so nice on the lips and it last for quite a while on the lips. Although I love the highlighter, this was my favourite thing in the order. Expect to hear me raving about the gloss in future posts as I’m in love haha.

I thought that I would mention at the end about the time it took for me to receive my order and processing times because Paris on Instagram asked on one of my pictures about it and I thought that I would include it here for anyone else who wanted to know.  I put in my order on the 30th of april, I had a shipment email on the 4th (5days later) then i had a depot card saying I had to go and pay the customs fees to collect my package on the 12th (8days from the shipping email) so in total thats just under 2 weeks from placing my order to receiving it. I don’t think thats too bad considering it had to go from the US to UK but when you order that makeup it feels like your waiting forever haha. Last thing, beware of customs fees, I had to pay £18 which is alot but I had expected it to be somewhere between £10-£20 so bare that in mind when ordering. Despite the custom fees the makeup is still super affordable though.

I hope you enjoyed this post and found it useful if your thinking of making your own colourpop order.
