With spring now upon us I feel like its time to have lighter and more ‘fresh’ makeup. Personally I love a very glowy look so although this look may be quite minimal I still like to make sure I’ve got a fair amount of highlight on haha.
1. Primer. L’oreal Lumi Magique Primer.
This primer has a gorgeous pearlescent glow to it and creates a prefect base. I really find that my makeup looks so much nicer when I have this underneath.
2. Concealer(s). Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer and Rimmel Match Perfection.
Call me high maintenance but I like to use 2 concealers or more to mix together and get the best of both or more or less coverage depending on how I feel each day. Also when having a lighter makeup look, I prefer not to wear foundation but that is just personal preference. If you want to see what other concealers I love click here.
3. Powder. Maybelline Fit Me Powder.
I love this powder because although its quite matte its not dull looking so it doesnt undo the glowy primer. For those of you where spring is quite warm, then powder will help to keep makeup in place rather than melting off.
4. Bronzer. Soap and Glory Solar Bronzer.
So to start with I wasn’t sure I liked this product but the fact I keep reaching for it has proved to me otherwise. When the sun is shining, but its not summer yet so no real tan, bronzer is the next best thing 🙂 this bronzer is quite light so if you have olive skintone or darker this probably won’t show up on you, however it is a lovely natural colour on fair skin.
5. Highligher. Mac Mineralised Skinfinish in Lightscapade.
Love. This. Highlighter. This has a gorgeous champagne/cream/light gold glow. Perfect for all skintones and you can either use just a little for a more natural look or you can be quite intense when more is used or when used damp. Review Here.
6. Eyebrows. Mac Eyeshadow in Copperplate.
For an everyday basis I mainly use powder and the angled brush in the pictures above. I like this shade as it works well with my hair colour and lasts all day. If I do not want too much definition or a strong brow I like to use the NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Ash Brown.
This really varies day-to-day. Sometimes I just have inner corner highlight (MAC Mylar & Makeup Geek Shimma Shimma) and some days I do a slightly heavier look. I like to use a lighter matte shade in the crease first, my favourites are Urban Decay Naked and UD Limit and Makeup Geek Peach Smoothie. Then I like to put a nice shimmery shade all over the lid, my favourites being, Urban Decay Smog, Half Baked, Chopper, Mugshot and Zoeva Pure Ganache. Obviously I don’t wear all of these at once but they are the few I use the most.
8. Eyeliner. Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Pencil in Black
I use this to line my top waterline only. This is very creamy and glides on well and lasts all day. Very affordable to. I find that filling in the top helps to make the lashes look fuller without making my eyes look smaller.
9. Mascara. Maybelline Lash Sensational.
Love this mascara, it adds lots of length as well as volume, great dupe for benefit roller lash. I like to apply a decent coating of this and that is my lashes good to go. If I was to only wear just one makeup product it would be this. If I’m wanting my lashes to look alittle more full and fluttery I will wear Benefit They’re Real Primer underneath but thats not an everyday thing as im abit lazy for that haha.
Last and final step is a lip product. This changes often aswell but my favourite and go to product is the Essence XXXL Matte Lipgloss in 06 Nude. I can’t believe this product cost less than £3 and its so good. Its basically a liquid lipstick and is not at all drying. If you dont already own this and have access to essence then I highly recommend you go out and try it, you wont be disappointed. Review here.
Hope you like my everyday makeup routine and I would love to know what product you couldn’t live without in your everyday makeup look.
