this cute six piece set, in fun and adorable pink packaging was the first proper eyeshadow set i bought and hearing alot about benefit as a brand i knew this was a good place to start. With the contents being all neutral it was very wearable for my seventeen year old self. could it be the perfect starter kit for you or just something to add to your collection?
What is it?
This cute set is an eyeshadow quad and 2 cream eyeshadow pots. There is also a little how-to guide for ways to use the shadows to create different looks and a handy mirror.
Is it expensive?
This retails for £23.50 ($30), which is quite a lot, but benefit is a premium brand.
Is it for you?
If you are looking for some simple everyday colours and like to use both powder and cream eyeshadows then this is a really good set.
Is it worth the money?
The quality of the products is great, they are pigmented and last all day. I do think there is better eyeshadow palettes out there but for the mixture of cream and powder products I do think it is worth it as to buy them individually would cost a lot more. Also the cream shadows can be worn alone or used as a base to prime the eyelid meaning you get a lot of use from them. The dark purple toned brown in the set could also be used as a liner, wet or dry, so I think you can do a range of things with this set. The matte shadows are particularly creamy for a powder eye shadow. Lastly the shimmer eye shadows are not at all patchy and do not have large chunks of glitter meaning there is little fall out.
There are two other sets in the range, with different colours but other than that I have not seen anything similar to this.
Where can I get my hands on it?
Boots, Feel Unique, benefit.com, Sephora and most department stores.
The box they come in is a little bulky but you could depot the powder shadows and put them in a z palette which I think would make travelling with them much easier. Also the cream shadows are loose and can be removed easily.
Although this is quite pricey and there are better powder shadow only palettes on the market, but because of the cream shadows I think that this set is quite unique and great for neutral lovers.
I hope that if you purchase this set that you like it and I’d like to know your opinions on it if you already own it.
