Sleek The Gold Standard I-Lust Palette Review

This cute and compact 6 piece palette is perfect for the festive season and also beyond. Sleek are known for their great quality at affordable prices, and I was keen to know if this palette was going to be the same. I had seen lots of pictures of this palette on social media so I knew it was a popular one, and therefore a must for me to try, and to share my thoughts with you fellow makeup lovers.

What is it?
This eye shadow palette contains two cream shadows and four powder shadows. The colours consist of a light pinky champagne, a cream cold toned silvery champagne, a metallic gold, cream shimmery bronze, an orange toned shimmery brown and a deep shimmery plum. This palette always contains a usable mirror and a double ended brush and sponge applicator.

Is it expensive?
At £7.49, I personally would say this is fairly affordable for the quantity and quality.

Is it for you?
As a late teen, I love this shimmery palette, however if you prefer more subtle colours it may not be for you. For example my mum said it’s probably to bold for her.

Is it worth the money?
I was so impressed with the the quality of these shadows, my favourite shadows are from the urban decay naked palettes and these shadow lasted the same amount of time. I think I wore them in total for about 12/13 hours and they lasted really well. The pigmentation was not bad either, the lighter cream eyeshadow was a little patchy but still workable. I also found that the best way to get as much product on to the lid was to use a flat shader brush to pack the colour on. However if you love matte shadows this palette is probably not the one for you, as there isn’t a single matte eyeshadow in the palette.

I personally haven’t seen anything similar to this palette but if you have, feel free to leave a comment and share with other readers.

Where can I get my hands on it?
I picked mine up from my local superdrug but you can also buy it from the sleek website, which is available in the UK, Europe and USA.

Anything else?
This palette is limited edition for the holidays so be sure to get it soon if you really want it. It is also available in a set containing some other products from the 24k gold collection.

Final thought
For under £8 I think this palette is a great find, the quality is really good and it comes in a lovely travel friendly compact packaging, very sleek. So if your able to get your hands on it before it’s sold out I would highly recommend you do.
